What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit to any church can create some nervous excitement. We want to help put you at ease by answering as many questions as we can even before you walk through the doors.
What do I wear?
At First Baptist Church of Schertz, we welcome you to come as you are. You will find a wide range of attire from casual to business professional.
What time does service start?
Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:30 am. Our team would love to meet you, so feel free to arrive a few minutes early to meet other members.
Do I need a Bible?
Our services are taught directly from the Bible. So, if you have a Bible, yes, please bring it. If you don’t have one, not to worry. We have Bibles available at our seats for you to use during your visit. Or feel free to use your Bible app.
What kind of music is in your service?
We sing a mix of both hymns and new songs. We are committed to our service staying true to biblical faithfulness and strong participation from our congregation. You will feel comfortable singing along, as the words to every song are prominently displayed for those in attendance.
What about children?
We welcome children of all ages to attend our Sunday morning service with their families. We believe that strength in faith is best experienced and built together as a family. Our children’s Sunday School meets at 9:00 am.
