At First Baptist Church Schertz, we help care for your children by teaching them biblical truths. Our children’s ministry programs are a time of worship taught directly from the Bible and designed specifically for children. Our loving team is excited to welcome you and your family! For our 9 AM children’s Sunday School, enter through the fellowship hall entrance in the office/preschool building.
From the youngest of children, we want to help your child grow in their understanding of who God is. Our church nursery provides a clean and safe environment where your child receives secure oversight by loving eyes. We provide this caring nursery Sunday mornings downstairs in the Morgan Building (middle building) at both the 9:00 AM Sunday School hour and during the 10:30 AM worship service.
Our commitment to cultivating the next generation of believers begins by partnering with families to teach children the truths of God and participating in the process of making resilient disciples through safe, fun, and engaging gospel-centered curriculum and activities.
Our Children’s Sunday School class meets each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the children’s classroom behind the Fellowship Hall. Our Fellowship Hall is in the preschool & office building. If this is your first time visiting us, look for the preschool & office signage. The adult Sunday School class meets in the Fellowship Hall so you are near your children.
In every lesson, the Bible is read, heard, and connected to Jesus in ways kids can understand in their own lives, so they can begin to say:
“I believe in Jesus.” “I’m becoming more like Him.” “I belong to Him forever.”
We WANT children in service with us. The best way to help our children grow in their love for Christ and His church is for children to worship with the church body. Bring your children with you for the music. Keep them with you for the service.
We understand that children can sometimes be loud and disruptive. Sometimes they are simply uncooperative. We still want to help you as parents and grandparents be able to worship with your child(ren). We want to see tiny worshipers grow into adult worshipers.
To help with the wiggles, we provide Family Fidget Bags (pictured). Grab one on your way in. During the songs, sing the songs with us. As the sermon starts, pull out the Family Fidget Bag filled with quiet toys to keep your child engaged. Even while playing with the fidgets, their minds will grasp far more than you realize.

Our Children’s Sunday School class meets each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in rooms behind the Fellowship Hall (preschool building). If it is your first time visiting us, our caring volunteers will direct you and your child to their class, where you can meet their teachers.
