At First Baptist Church Schertz, we help care for your children by teaching them biblical truths. Our children’s ministry programs are a time of worship taught directly from the Bible and designed specifically for children. Our loving team is excited to welcome you and your family! Enter through the main sanctuary entrance marked by the flags and awning. From there, you will find people eager to welcome your family.

Nursery
From the youngest of children, we want to help your child grow in their understanding of who God is. Our church nursery provides a clean and safe environment where your child receives secure oversight by loving eyes. We provide this caring nursery Sunday mornings downstairs in the Morgan Building (middle building) at both the 9:00 AM Sunday School hour and during the 10:30 AM worship service.
Children’s DISCIPLESHIP
Our commitment to cultivating the next generation of believers begins by partnering with families to teach children the truths of God and participating in the process of making resilient disciples through safe, fun, and engaging gospel-centered curriculum and activities.
Our Children’s Sunday School class meets each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the Morgan Building (middle building). If it is your first time visiting us, our caring volunteers will direct you and your child to their class, where you can meet their teachers.
In every lesson, the Bible is read, heard, and connected to Jesus in ways kids can understand in their own lives, so they can begin to say:
“I believe in Jesus.” “I’m becoming more like Him.” “I belong to Him forever.”
Weekly discipleship continues Wednesday evenings throughout the school year with AWANA. AWANA is a children’s discipleship program teaching the truths of God and His Word anchored in Scripture memory.
Preschool Children (ages 3 to 5)
Cubbies® nurtures the budding faith of preschoolers and celebrates their desire to explore all that God has created.
Early Elementary (K through 2nd grades)
Sparks® ignites a child’s curiosity about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.
Upper Elementary (3rd through 6th grades)
T&T® explores the concept of grace by focusing on the character and nature of God, the identity of Christ, as well as the structure and format of the Bible.
